Lost wax precision casting, also known as investment casting, is a precision casting process with little or no cutting. Its produced castings have higher dimensional accuracy and surface quality than other precision casting methods. It is an excellent process technology in the precision casting industry and is widely used.
The dimensional accuracy of wax loss casting is high, and the process is complex. There are many factors that affect the dimensional accuracy of castings, such as shrinkage of the mold material, linear changes in the mold shell during heating and cooling, deformation of the investment mold, shrinkage rate of the alloy, and deformation of the casting during solidification. The dimensional consistency of castings produced by precision casting manufacturers using medium and high temperature wax materials will be relatively improved.
When pressing wax molds, high surface smoothness of the mold cavity is used, so the surface smoothness of the wax mold is also relatively high.
