What kind of material is suitable for precision machining
In China's precision machining, precision machining is used in what fields? Precision machining has high accuracy and high processing costs, it is mainly used in the civil and military fields, such as defense, medical equipment, aerospace and electronic products. With the continuous development of China's industrial structure optimization and upgrading, the demand for mechanical parts processing is increasing, so it is highly valued; therefore, a lot of manpower, material resources and financial resources have been invested in this field, for the development of precision mechanical parts processing in our country.

And about precision machining is not all materials can be, some materials hardness is too big, exceeds the hardness of machining parts, it may be the parts collapse. So these materials are not suitable for precision machining, unless they are made of special materials, or laser cutting.
Precision machining materials can be divided into two kinds: metallic materials and non-metallic materials.
For metal materials, the hardness is greater for stainless steel, followed by cast iron, followed by copper, and finally by aluminum, and ceramics, plastic and other processing belongs to the processing of non-metallic materials.

First: the first is the requirement of material hardness. For some occasions, the higher the hardness, the better. Only limited to the hardness requirements of the machining parts, processing materials can not be too hard, if than the parts can not be processed.
Two: second, the material soft and hard moderate, at least lower than the hardness of a parts. At the same time, it depends on the role of the processed device is to do, reasonable selection of parts. In short, precision machining still has some material requirements, and not what materials are suitable for processing. For example, too soft or too hard materials, the former is not necessary for processing, while the latter is unable to process.
Precision machining industry has always been a labor-intensive, capital-intensive and technology-intensive industry, with a high industry threshold. Even if the general enterprise is established but can not reach a certain scale, it is difficult to generate profits, and the requirements for precision machining it are extremely strict.
Precision parts processing process has a very strict requirements. A little careless processing will lead to the workpiece error beyond the tolerance range, need to be reworked, or announce the blank scrap, greatly increasing the cost of production. What requirements should it follow when processing the precision parts?

First of all is the size of the requirements, must strictly follow the shape tolerance requirements of the drawings for processing, although the enterprise processing production of parts in fact and the size of the drawings will not be exactly the same. But the actual size is within the tolerance range of the theoretical size, and they are qualified parts that can be used.
Secondly, the requirements of the equipment, rough, finishing should be used with different performance of the equipment, because the rough machining process is to cut most of the parts of the blank. The workpiece will produce a large amount of internal stress under the condition of large amount of feed and large cutting depth, at this time can not be refined. The workpiece after a certain time of the finishing process, should be worked on the higher precision machine tool, so that the workpiece can achieve a high accuracy.
Again, the processing of precision parts often has surface treatment and heat treatment process, surface treatment should be placed after precision machining. And in the process of precision machining, the thin layer thickness after the surface treatment should be considered. Heat treatment is to improve the cutting performance of the metal, so it needs to be placed before the machining.
