The investment casting process, in simple terms, is to use fusible materials (such as wax or plastic) to make a fusible model (referred to as investment mold or model), coat it with several layers of specially made refractory coating, dry and harden it to form a whole shell, and then melt the model from the shell with steam or hot water. When using high-strength shell, the demolded shell is directly roasted, and after roasting, molten metal is poured into the shell to obtain the casting.
